About Marston Lodge Hotel
Marston Lodge Hotel in Minehead provides visitors to the wilds of Exmoor and Somerset’s rugged coastline with a warm and welcoming launch pad to both explore and relax.
Located in the picturesque 12th century ‘North Hill’ area of Minehead, Marston Lodge Hotel is ideally situated as a base from which to explore, Exmoor, north Devon and the west coast of Somerset.
Formerly an impressive and elegant, Edwardian gentleman’s residence (built
circa 1900), Marston Lodge Hotel retains much of its original character, charm
and style.
Being amongst the first private residences built on Exmoor’s scenic North Hill, above Minehead, Marston Lodge Hotel, enjoys unrivalled panoramic sea views
from most of the rooms.
To the east, the hotel overlooks the spectacular beaches and coastline from
Blue Anchor Bay to the greens of the West Somerset and Minehead Golf links.

To the west, there is the imposing 11th century Norman, St Michael’s Church and the charmingly thatched cottages of Minehead’s ‘Higher Town’. North Hill and Exmoor National Park are scientifically classified as ‘a tranquil rural area’… one of only a few left in an increasingly crowded and noisy England.
Marston Lodge Hotel is therefore, extremely tranquil with NO latent traffic noise and only the peel of church bells, the cry of seagulls, and the swish of the surf to disturb the peace and quiet … at night, our four local owls often serenade North Hill residents to a peaceful sleep.
